Job Summary:
The Manager, Travel & Expense will own and manage the organization’s end-to-end T&E program, ensuring policy compliance, operational efficiency, and an excellent employee experience. This role is the internal subject matter expert for T&E, overseeing the Concur expense platform and the American Express corporate card program, and partnering cross-functionally to align T&E processes with business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Own and administer the Concur expense management platform, including configuration, user support, system maintenance, and ongoing optimization
- Manage the American Express corporate card program end-to-end, including card issuance, credit limit management, policy compliance monitoring, and reconciliation
- Lead and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, customer service and data integrity
- Develop, maintain, and enforce T&E policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and applicable regulations
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to T&E, providing guidance and resolution in a timely manner
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, HR, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure T&E processes support business activity and close requirements
- Review and audit expense reports for policy compliance, escalating exceptions and identifying trends or areas of risk
- Lead T&E-related vendor relationships, including Concur and American Express, managing contracts, service levels, and ongoing enhancements
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability of the T&E function
- Prepare and present T&E spend reporting and analytics to Finance and senior leadership, identifying trends and cost-saving opportunities
- Contribute to the department’s strategic planning, including technology adoption and long-term process design
- Anticipate and mitigate operational risks and bottlenecks within the T&E function, adjusting proactively to meet deadlines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in T&E, expense management, or a related finance/accounting function
- Strong cross-functional communication skills; ability to influence without direct authority and navigate complex stakeholder relationships
- Hands-on experience administering Concur, including system configuration and user support
- Experience managing a corporate card program; American Express preferred
- Strong knowledge of T&E policies, internal controls, and compliance best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive process improvements with minimal oversight
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $120,000 - $145,000
