What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Confidential?
We’re looking for a hardworking, reliable Maintenance Supervisor to help keep the in and out of our residential multi-family property in good shape. If you have experience fixing things around the house—from leaky faucets to patching drywall—we’d love to have you on our team. You’ll be helping us keep our residents happy and their residences safe, clean, and comfortable.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Handle everyday repairs and maintenance around the apartments .
- Fix things like broken outlets, clogged drains, faulty locks, and A/C units that aren’t cooling right.
- Take care of basic plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
- Help turn over empty units to get them ready for new residents (cleaning, touch-ups, repairs).
- Take a lead on scheduling on make ready dates for vacant apartments.
- Make sure outdoor areas and shared spaces stay tidy and safe.
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Keep records of the work you do, and make sure you order and keep supplies on hand.
- Be part of the on-call team for after-hours emergencies (we rotate, so it’s fair).
What We’re Looking For:
- A couple years’ experience working maintenance—especially around houses or apartments.
- Know-how with basic tools and systems: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general handyman stuff. Have the ability to fix almost anything to limit the amount of outside vendor calls.
- Someone who takes pride in their work and treats folks with respect.
- Able to lift around 50 lbs., climb ladders, and do hands-on work all day.
- Driver’s license and your own vehicle to get to and from properties.
Nice to Have (But Not Required):
- EPA HVAC certification (Will be required to get within the first 90 days of work at employer's expense)
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) (Will be required to get within the first 90 days of work at employer's expense)
- High school diploma or GED (trade school is a bonus)
Working Environment:
- You’ll be working both inside and outside the apartments, rain or shine.
- Might get a little dirty sometimes (it’s maintenance, after all)
- Must be okay being on-call for emergency fixes.
