Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Legal Accounting/Bookkeeping Specialist to manage the financial backbone of our practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and self-sufficient, with strong experience in both QuickBooks and Clio billing — including how they integrate together in a legal environment.
This is not a training role; we are looking for someone who can step in and hit the ground running with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks and Clio
- Oversee client trust accounts in full compliance with Florida Bar requirements
- Process client billing, invoicing, and reconciliation between systems
- Generate accurate financial reports for firm leadership
- Support payroll and expense tracking
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and client records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Clio billing (required)
- Prior experience working in a law firm environment (required)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and legal billing practices
- Ability to work independently and with precision under deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be available during firm office hours (M–F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Onsite position in Bartow, Florida (remote work may be considered, but is not guaranteed)
