A school district is seeking an experienced, reliable HVAC Technician to join its Facilities Maintenance team supporting 13 commercial school buildings. This is a direct‑hire, permanent role with strong stability, excellent benefits, and a collaborative team environment. The technician will perform general building maintenance with a primary focus on HVAC systems across multiple campuses.
You will join a team of 10 skilled technicians who work together to ensure safe, comfortable, and efficient learning environments for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system checks across 13 commercial facilities.
- Conduct general building maintenance as needed (mechanical, electrical, plumbing support, etc.).
- Diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Maintain district‑provided tools, equipment, and service vehicle while on the job.
- Collaborate with the facilities team to prioritize work orders and respond to urgent needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and district procedures.
- Document work performed and communicate effectively with supervisors and school staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of HVAC experience (commercial, residential, or mixed environments)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and repair
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
