What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Director position at Confidential?
This is a strategic, transformational role not a traditional HR director position. The Director Human Resources will serve as a thought partner to the CHRO as together they reimagine and elevate the HR function. The selected candidate will be equally capable of rolling up their sleeves to build the infrastructure, processes, and systems we need. The right person will be comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational levels.
Qualifications:
- A track record of HR transformation — process redesign, systems modernization, and organizational change, ideally with experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to scale HR operations
- Strong project management discipline — the ability to take initiatives from discovery through sustainment with minimal oversight
- Depth in employment law, employee relations, and HR compliance across multi-state environments
- Experience with performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning in a mid-size or growing company
- The ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and influence without direct authority
- Change management experience — assessing impact, engaging stakeholders, and driving adoption
- Exposure to M&A HR due diligence and integration is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role
- Bachelor's degree required
- HR certifications a plus
