Fixed Operations Manager
An established dealership is searching for a Fixed Operations Director (FOD) to lead the service and parts department!
The FOD will focus on maximizing customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and financial performance. We believe success starts with having a friendly, hardworking, and competent team dedicated to providing the highest level of service expected from a dealership. The FOD is also responsible for the safety of fixed operations employees and customers and ensuring the departments are compliant with all workplace rules and regulations. The FOD must be capable of thinking strategically from a high-level while being willing to lead by example. By working with the current strong team of managers, we are looking for a leader to leverage the best qualities of each department, improve economies of scale and build a consistently high performing group of service and parts departments.
Functions:
- Employee management, development, training, and recruiting.
- Communication of all key or relevant information with owners and executive team.
- Financial Performance and Financial Analysis (in conjunction with CFO).
- Compliance with all employee and workplace safety rules and regulations (in conjunction with the Emergency Health and Safety/Facilities Manager).
- Utilize available warehouse space to maximize profitability via maintaining proper inventory levels that support customer needs and manufacturer guidance while considering cash management.
Responsibilities:
- Implement a strategic management program to work together with service/parts managers and departments with efforts to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction.
- Effectively communicate with owners and executives on department performance, key decisions, and general operations.
- Consistently meet or exceed Customer Satisfaction (CSI) goals.
- Ensure vehicle repairs and parts management are being conducted based on manufacturer guidance and industry best practices.
- Develop financial reporting for clear and efficient interpretation of financial data of all aspects of all fixed ops departments.
- Review open repair orders for appropriateness.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the fixed operations departments of the automotive industry and as a department level or higher managerial experience required.
- High School diploma or the equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Must have strong leadership, organizational and financial analysis skills.
- Strong communication skills are required to work with customers, employees, and vendors.
- NADA /NCM or upper-level management training preferred but will be provided in most circumstances.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
- Body shop experience preferred.
