Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Division Vice President to lead the clinical, operational, and financial performance of a behavioral health organization, across multiple locations in the Illinois region. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the DVP role demands a seasoned healthcare executive with deep expertise in behavioral health operations, exceptional people leadership, and the business acumen to manage complex, multi-site locations.
Duties
- Collaborate with the executive leaders to develop, refine, and achieve company-wide goals and growth targets
- Translate organizational vision into actionable regional initiatives, ensuring alignment across clinical, operational, and support functions
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to streamline operations and maximize use of resources
- Drive new clinic development and regional expansion efforts, including site identification, launch planning, and stabilization
- Oversee the daily workflow and performance of all clinic locations within the Illinois region, ensuring delivery of high-quality behavioral health services
- Monitor and analyze regional KPIs — including clinical outcomes, staff productivity, and client retention — and drive data-informed improvements
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging trends, research, and regulatory developments in behavioral health, and healthcare operations
- Ensure full compliance with HIPAA and all organizational policies and procedures across every regional site
- Identify, develop, and retain top clinical and operational talent; build internal pipelines for succession planning at the manager and director levels
- Identify and pursue new growth opportunities within the Illinois region, including market analysis, referral development, and partnership building
- Represent the organization at community events, professional associations, and regional stakeholder engagements to elevate brand awareness and drive referral growth
- Build and nurture relationships with payers, school districts, healthcare systems, and community organizations across the region
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration or a related field required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
- 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, behavioral health, and/or a multi-state, multi-site service organization
- Minimum of 3–5 years in a regional or executive leadership role with direct responsibility for multiple locations and operational P&L
- Proven track record of driving organizational growth, clinical quality improvement, and financial performance at scale
- Deep understanding of behavioral health services, healthcare compliance, payer systems, and multi-site operational best practices
- Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing leadership teams
- Able to travel regularly across Illinois state and other states as needed
Pay: $135,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
