Chief Estimator

A well-established Central Ohio general contractor is seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to lead and oversee the company’s estimating department. This leadership role will be responsible for managing a team of estimators, driving preconstruction strategy, and ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely project bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the estimating team to ensure consistent performance and growth.
• Oversee preparation of conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate closely with operations, preconstruction, and executive leadership to support company goals.
• Review and approve estimates, scopes, and subcontractor bids for accuracy and completeness.
• Support business development and client engagement efforts through pricing strategy and value analysis.
• Implement and refine estimating processes, tools, and best practices across the department.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of estimating experience within commercial construction, including design-build delivery methods.
• Proven track record managing complex projects across multiple sectors (healthcare, education, office, retail, etc.).
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
