Family Office Analyst
Overview
We are seeking an Analyst for a newly formed single-family office. The office is led by a seasoned operator and investor with a track record of building and investing in technology and healthcare businesses. With ~$1bn in assets, the office deploys capital across public and private equities, fixed income (ex–real estate), and ETFs. Direct investing includes startup incubation, angel investments, and active ownership in select services, consumer, and horizontal AI software businesses. There will be significant capital allocation in AI and healthcare.
This is a highly entrepreneurial, hybrid role—combining chief of staff, operator, and investor. You will work directly with the founder to build the infrastructure, processes, and investment capabilities of the family office from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
Investment Support
- Support manager selection, diligence, and monitoring across public and private markets
- Assist with direct investments: sourcing, research, diligence, and financial modeling
- Track portfolio activity (commitments, capital calls, distributions, performance)
- Prepare clear, concise investment memos and updates
- Monitor macro, sector, and thematic trends relevant to the portfolio
Holding Company / Direct Investments
- Act as a hands-on operator across select owned assets
- Contribute to business planning, recruiting, business development, and product strategy
- Partner with leadership teams to drive early-stage execution
Founder Support & Special Projects
- Operate as a true thought partner and chief of staff to the founder
- Prepare materials and analyses for key decisions and meetings
- Lead special projects across investments, philanthropy, real estate, and new ventures
- Anticipate needs, structure solutions, and execute independently
Family Office Infrastructure & Operations
- Build and manage the operating backbone of the family office, including budgeting, cash flow, reporting, and governance
- Establish systems across document management, compliance, tax tracking, and performance reporting
- Coordinate across legal, tax, estate, philanthropic, and financial stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external advisors (legal, tax, banking, custodians), managing deliverables and timelines
- Oversee key vendor relationships (household services, philanthropy, real estate, etc.)
- Support hiring, onboarding, and management of future team members
- Help define scalable policies, workflows, and governance structures
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, physics, or a related field
- 2–7 years of experience in investment banking or private equity is required
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities (valuation, modeling, investment analysis)
- Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
- High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Discretion, judgment, and professional maturity
- Passion for entrepreneurism, technology and healthcare
