Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Alarm Systems Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining a wide range of security and alarm systems, including fire alarms, CCTV surveillance, access control, and low-voltage electrical systems. Your expertise will ensure that clients’ properties are protected with reliable, high-quality security solutions. Duties
- Install electrical security systems such as alarm & access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, and fire alarm systems according to technical schematics and blueprints
- Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage electrical wiring, cabling, and equipment issues using hand tools and power tools
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints to ensure precise system installation
- Conduct system testing and commissioning to verify proper operation of security devices and network connectivity
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for system malfunctions or failures in the field
- Integrate door security systems with existing access control infrastructure and ensure seamless operation
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and deliver tailored solutions while maintaining excellent customer service
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer in alarm systems or electronic security fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience with power tools and low-voltage electrical wiring
- Familiarity with computer hardware, networking, remote access software, and telecommunication systems
- Knowledge of system design principles including IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, CCTV surveillance, and fire alarm integration
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience troubleshooting electrical security systems and conducting equipment diagnostics effectively
- Construction or telecommunications experience is a plus; valid NEC (National Electrical Code) knowledge preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Physical ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required by installation sites
- An IT background will also be beneficial

Pay: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour
