About the Position:
The Building Services Director oversees all aspects of building maintenance, repairs, and housekeeping operations to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
The Building Services Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and safety of our facilities. This position involves overseeing various maintenance tasks, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently, and providing support in managing building services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management and mechanical knowledge, along with excellent leadership skills to supervise a team effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage daily building maintenance and housekeeping operations.
- Supervise and support Housekeeping and Maintenance staff to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
- Coordinate and complete room turns, ensuring spaces are prepared and move-in ready on schedule.
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules, work orders, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee safety compliance and quality control across all facility systems and operations.
- Manage budgets for maintenance supplies, tools, and contracted services.
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify and resolve maintenance or safety issues proactively.
- Oversee capital improvement and renovation projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance management experience in a residential, hospitality, or multifamily environment.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead by example and work alongside team members when needed.
- Availability for occasional after-hours or emergency calls.
