Job Overview
We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage incoming payments, reconcile accounts, and keep our receivables accurate and up to date. You'll work closely with our project management and billing teams to invoice correctly, track collections, and resolve discrepancies quickly. We're looking for someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and record incoming payments using various billing and accounting software's
- Manage accounts receivable portfolios, including account management and client communication to resolve overdue balances
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger entries with general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure proper invoicing practices
- Conduct account reconciliation activities regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain meticulous data entry records
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts receivable management
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and revenue cycle management
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and client communication abilities
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation and data entry accurately under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
