Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to process payments, manage cash applications, and ensure accurate deductions/credits are timely and accurate. This role is critical to maintaining healthy cash flow and strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in accounts receivable management.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for processing daily cash applications, ensuring accurate posting of customer payments to their accounts, and reconciling payment discrepancies. You will monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past due accounts through phone calls and email correspondence. Additional duties include researching and resolving customer billing inquiries, maintaining accurate customer account records in our ERP system, preparing monthly AR reports and metrics for management review, and coordinating with the sales team regarding customer payment issues.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency in cash applications and payment processing
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
