Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliations and general ledger.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
- Coordinate, lead and complete annual audits.
- Provide recommendations for improving systems and processes, and manage the implementation of these improvements in both accounting procedures and ERP systems.
- Meet financial accounting objectives pertaining to the accounting associated with cost, inventory and cost rolls.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Partner with Finance leadership team with the budgeting and planning process
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Public Accounting experience and CPA preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others at all levels within the organization
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
