Responsibilities
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Conduct complex account reconciliations, variance analyses, and assessments of key financial metrics.
- Perform financial analysis to evaluate investments, cost-reduction initiatives, and business growth strategies.
- Lead month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
- Assist with annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and the documentation of budget deviations.
- Coordinate external audits by providing documentation and implementing recommended process corrections.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and remediate any identified weaknesses.
- Identify and implement workflow improvements to streamline accounting procedures and systems.
- Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to junior accounting team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience is strongly preferred
- Strong proficiency working with core accounting systems and ERP software.
- Advanced Excel
- Active CPA license is preferred.
