Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Healthcare

Position will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Direct, oversee, manage, evaluate, and perform full range of administrative/operational responsibilities to ensure the efficient achievement of departmental and system goals.



Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the provision of administrative and employment services.
  • Oversees assigned operational aspects of the company.
  • Analyzes and develops timely responses to requests or changes from the assigned locations’ leadership in coordination with all departments and clinical leadership.
  • Provides communication and partnership with the facilities to improve organization-wide performance based on experience at the assigned locations.
  • Maintains oversight of team members for the assigned locations.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Serves as a project manager to administration and management services at the assigned location(s).
  • Works with Finance, Legal, Clinical Affairs, and HR departments to ensure system-wide compliance.

  • Knowledge and practical application of Federal, State, and local laws with a solid understanding of the general body of laws surrounding Finance, as well as some experience with HR.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.



Qualifications:

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Masters of Health Administration (MHA)
  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible management experience within a health care facility or medical group practice at a Director level or higher
  • Demonstrated competencies in the following areas:
  • Planning, decision-making and implementation
  • Analytical capacity (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Financial Management
  • Organizational abilities
  • Oral and written communication
  • Project management
  • Ability to build trust through listening, supporting others and demonstrating integrity
  • Proficiency in contract and financial management; experience managing union collective bargaining agreements is preferred
  • Excellent client management and business literacy skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required
