Starting Wage Range: $90,930.26 annually-$116,255.21 annually.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Recovery House while maintaining responsibility and oversight of house residents.
  • Responsible for all program entry and exit procedures.
  • Enforces house rules, manages daily housekeeping tasks and conducts inspections.
  • Leads weekly “House Meetings”.
  • Screens and supports assessments and transitions of residents in and out of the program.
  • Maintains responsibility for overall development, coordination, and management of program services including coordination with outpatient mental health services.
  • Provides care management services for all residents.
  • Provides crisis management and supports as necessary.
  • Performs a variety of other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Supervisory:

  • Supervises and provides day-to-day direction for assigned staff.
  • Completes performance evaluations, delivers disciplinary action, hires and terminates staff as appropriate.
  • Ensures the hiring, training, promoting, assigning, disciplining and discharging of employees are in accordance with Tribal Law.
  • Assures staff adherence to all policies and procedures, work, safety and administrative rule, Tribal Law and State Regulations.
  • Serves as a mentor, as requested, for Tribal career development.

Education, Experience, and Licenses:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in health care, Social Services, or related field of study. Master’s degree in health care or human services field preferred.
  • Requires three (3) years of verifiable work experience in a social service setting or an alcohol/drug or treatment facility.
  • An additional two (2) years of experience working in a residential treatment or recovery house setting is preferred.
  • Requires three (3) years of supervisory/manager experience.
  • OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Driving Requirements:

  • Must maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license or obtain one upon hire, qualify for the Tribe’s vehicle insurance, and provide proof of personal vehicle insurance.

Qualifications, Registrations, and Certifications:

  • Requires certification as a chemical dependency counselor or ability to obtain (CADC-II or CADC-III) within a year to 18 months of hire.
  • Requires two years of abstinence from alcohol or chemicals (if recovering person).
  • Must have working knowledge of the Privacy Act/HIPPA and its applications.
  • Must have knowledge and experience working in a trauma informed system of care.
  • CPR/First aid certified required or ability to obtain certification and must maintain throughout employment.
  • Requires working knowledge of proficiency and use of office equipment and computer software such as Microsoft word, excel, power point and outlook.
  • Must have the ability to resolve conflict while utilizing conflict management philosophies.
  • Requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and record keeping skills.
  • Must have the ability to respond courteously and tactfully.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, business and telephone etiquette.
  • Must have the ability to work at times with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to Native American culture is required.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Continually requires the ability to express or receive detailed information or important instructions through oral communication.
  • Continually requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm. Requires repetitive movement of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
  • Requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time, raising objects from a lower to a higher position and/or moving objects horizontally.
  • Occasionally requires lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • This position is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions.
  • Supports a safe work environment by performing all duties in accordance with Tribal safety policies and procedures, and Emergency Management Plan.
  • Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations.
  • May be called upon to serve as a Disaster Reservist during emergencies.
  • Local travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required.
