  • Perform outreach to community partners as needed to engage new clients.
  • Monitor behaviors of visitors to the center or client groups on an outing and react appropriately, including de-escalating heightened situations, responding to threats to safety and security, and taking other actions as needed.

Service Delivery (30%)

  • Support clients in developing and increasing their recovery capital, including social relationships, establishing connections with appropriate resources, building family relationships, and more.

  • Use a variety of communication techniques, including motivational interviewing, to support clients in developing and achieving individual goals.
  • Help clients develop an individual recovery identity.
  • Utilize harm reduction strategies to help clients improve their overall wellness.

With a community center open to all individuals who want a safe environment, this position requires managing and overseeing all interactions between clients/community members and navigating conflict in a safe and restorative manner.
