Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Hybrid – 4 days on-site / 1 day remote (Columbia, SC)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to act as the liaison between business stakeholders and the IT organization. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare experience, deep analytical skills, and the ability to translate business needs into effective IT solutions. This role will support the Program Manager and Project Management team to ensure program goals and values are achieved.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the bridge between business units and IT to deliver technical solutions that meet user needs.
- Analyze business operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for process automation.
- Assist with business process redesign and documentation for new technology implementations.
- Translate business requirements into functional IT specifications; manage changes to requirements as needed.
- Educate IT teams on business objectives and priorities.
- Facilitate communication, negotiate agreements, and manage expectations between business units and IT.
- Stay current with technology trends to recommend innovative solutions.
General Responsibilities:
- Conduct business process analysis and performance assessments.
- Mentor and train team members on delivering high-quality business solutions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, proactively addressing needs.
- Lead design sessions, cross-functional meetings, and business integration initiatives.
- Drive efficient configuration of data within MES Modernization modules.
- Coordinate project priorities, resources, and deliverables.
- Provide regular status updates and contribute to operational and leadership meetings.
- Create and maintain KPIs to measure progress toward integration goals.
Required Skills:
- 7 years of experience in commercial healthcare.
- 6 years of experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of CMS Federal Certification requirements and processes.
- 3 years of experience in State Medicaid payer system integration and delivery.
- 3 years of experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Familiarity with Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) principles.
- Experience with EDI standards, file formats, and healthcare data structures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, from frontline staff to executives.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Project management background.
- MMIS project or operations experience.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, healthcare, or a related field (experience may substitute for degree).

Pay: $75,000.00 - $97,712.79 per year
