- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces daily
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces (bed rails, call buttons, doorknobs, handrails) to prevent infection
- Follow strict infection control and isolation procedures when required
- Make beds and change linens according to facility standards
- Collect, transport, and handle soiled linens and waste safely
- Replenish supplies such as tissues, soap, paper products, and PPE
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas
- Clean spills and respond promptly to urgent housekeeping needs
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance issues
- Interact respectfully and courteously with residents, families, and staff
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of infection control practices is a plus
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed cleaning protocols
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Compassionate attitude toward elderly and disabled residents
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Lift and carry 25–50 pounds
- Push/pull carts and equipment throughout the facility
- Long-term care or skilled nursing facility
- Frequent interaction with elderly residents, including those with mobility or cognitive challenges
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and potential biohazards
- Must follow OSHA and facility safety guidelines
- Full-time and part-time positions available
