JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Business Partner provides coverage during a leave period, ensuring continuity of day-to-day HR support, employee lifecycle activities, and manager guidance. This role operates as an individual contributor, partnering with business leaders and employees while collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence to execute established HR programs, policies, and processes with a focus on steady-state execution and consultative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned managers and employees
- Provide practical HR guidance aligned with business priorities and company policies
- Act as a liaison between business units and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs)
- Advise on performance management, attendance, and employee relations matters
- Support corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and employee exits
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, and values-driven work environment
- Support talent lifecycle activities including hiring coordination, onboarding, internal mobility, and separations
- Assist with talent review preparation and follow-up on development actions
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR teams to support workforce needs
- Analyze HR data and dashboards to identify trends in engagement and retention
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on workforce data
- Ensure consistent execution of HR programs and compliance with employment laws and policies
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure smooth handoffs during the contract period
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience supporting managers and employees as an individual contributor
- Strong understanding of HR programs, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and labor laws
- Ability to interpret HR data and provide actionable insights
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with HR COEs in a matrixed environment
- Ability to quickly adapt to existing teams with minimal ramp-up time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing interim or leave coverage HR support
- Strong judgment and ability to handle sensitive employee matters
- Experience supporting fast-paced or technical organizations
