Medical Assistant
Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46825
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Recurring Tuesday–Thursday schedule
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience
- Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable handling both administrative and clinical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Greet, check in, and room patients.
- Schedule appointments and manage incoming phone calls.
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs.
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
- Administer vaccines as needed and within scope of practice.
- Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system.
- Provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers and staff.
- Assist with daily front and back office operations.
- Follow established clinical, safety, and patient-care procedures.
- 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.
- Athena EMR experience required.
- Current BLS or CPR Certification.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Occupational Health experience.
- Experience working in both front and back office settings.
- Strong patient-service and interpersonal skills.
