Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU
Location: Holland, MI
Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: Nights | 12-hour shifts | 3 shifts/week
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for an 8-week contract. The ideal candidate will have strong critical-care experience and be comfortable providing independent nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity acute-care environment.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, oxygenation, and other critical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to orders and facility protocols.
- Manage and monitor IV pumps, cardiac monitors, and other critical-care equipment.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and clinical emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic patient documentation.
- Perform ongoing assessments and communicate significant findings to appropriate healthcare providers.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Assist with procedures and interventions appropriate to the ICU setting.
- Prioritize and manage patient care effectively in a high-acuity environment.
- Current, active RN license.
- 2 years of prior RN experience in the desired specialty preferred.
- Recent hospital and/or clinical nursing experience preferred.
- ICU/Critical Care experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with electronic patient documentation systems preferred.
- Familiarity with critical-care equipment, including:
- Cardiac monitors
- IV pumps
- ICU monitoring equipment
- Specialty certification preferred, such as:
- CCRN
- CRN
- CNOR
- CEN
- Other relevant specialty certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute-care environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Bilingual candidates preferred.
Salary : $2,100 - $2,300
