What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Compact Industries Inc?
PURPOSE:
Utilize analytical and critical thinking skills to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer and vendor invoices as well as various general accounting and reconciliation tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter and maintain customers and suppliers in ERP system.
- Generate and distribute the company invoices.
- Record customer cash receipts.
- Monitor customer credit and collections.
- Code and enter company payables in ERP system
- Assist with weekly check run.
- Scan and file documents, both physically and electronically as needed.
- Communicate with various departments at all levels of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Accounting preferred.
- Syspro or similar Manufacturing ERP experience preferred.
- Proficient knowledge required in Microsoft suite programs.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar accounting position preferred.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Strong math and analytical skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and be organized.
- Represents Compact Industries in a professional manner when in contact with vendors and customers.
- Able to handle confidential information appropriately.
