What you can expect in a Accounting Clerk role at J Jordan Homes:
o Providing an accurate account of company and project financial positions
o Supporting the financial operations of the company by inputting accurate records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with the full accounting cycle
o Working closely with accounting manager, vendors, and leadership to ensure the integrity of financial data and provide insights that support the success of our custom homebuilding projects
o Performing daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
o Reconciling job cost reports with project estimates and vendor invoices
o Assist with draw requests, lien waivers, and coordination of construction loan funding
o Maintaining proper documentation and record retention for financial and project records
o Assisting with preparation for external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
Requirements:
o 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience; construction or real estate industry experience preferred
o Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Premier Construction Software, or similar).
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of individuals and companies
o This is an in-person position with 40-hour work weeks
