Schedule: Flexible shifts including weekends (store hours approx. 9 AM – 7 PM)
About Us
Community Thrift is a locally owned thrift store bringing affordable treasures and community giving to Hermiston! We’re opening our new location at 1625 N First St. in May 2026 and building a reliable, hardworking team to help us launch successfully.
Position Summary
We’re looking for detail-oriented and dependable Textile Sorters / Pricers to process clothing, shoes, purses, linens, and other fabrics. You’ll sort incoming donations, price items as needed, and prepare them so they look great on our sales floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort clothing, shoes, fabrics, linens, purses, and other textile donations by category and condition
- Inspect items for quality, cleanliness, and wear
- Price items accurately according to store guidelines (pricing as needed)
- Hang, fold, tag, and prepare textiles for the sales floor
- Keep the sorting and processing area clean and organized
- Stand for extended periods while sorting and pricing
- Occasionally lift and move heavy bags of donations (up to 40–50 lbs)
- Work cooperatively with the team and assist material handlers when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and punctual team players with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Comfort occasionally lifting heavy bags of clothing and textiles
- Good eye for detail and judgment on item quality and condition
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced back-of-house environment
- Flexibility to work some weekends
- No prior experience required — we provide full training on sorting, pricing, and our systems!
