Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
- Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices are followed at all times.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and medical records securely.
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring behavioral health support.
- Skilled in patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts; capable of heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Excellent caregiver communication skills to coordinate effectively with patients’ families and healthcare teams while maintaining patient service excellence.
