About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position based at Northview Health & Living, plays a critical role in delivering high-quality resident care and supporting healthcare operations. This role involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring residents comfort, safety, and well-being. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures while maintaining accurate and detailed resident records. Additionally, the LPN will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and contribute to a positive healthcare environment. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance resident outcomes through compassionate, efficient, and professional nursing support within the administrative healthcare setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification or license in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, resident care techniques, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an administrative or outpatient healthcare setting.
  • Additional certifications such as IV therapy or medication administration.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
  • Continuing education or specialized training in areas such as geriatrics or chronic disease management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs and health status, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Assist with resident assessments, wound care, and other clinical procedures as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate residents and their families on health maintenance, medication management, and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Support administrative tasks related to resident care coordination and communication within the healthcare team.

Skills:

The LPN will utilize clinical nursing skills daily to provide safe and effective patient care, including medication administration and vital sign monitoring. Strong communication skills are essential for educating residents and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Organizational skills are applied to maintain accurate resident records and manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with electronic health record systems enhances documentation accuracy and supports seamless information sharing. Additionally, critical thinking and problem-solving skills enable the LPN to respond promptly to residient needs and changes in condition, ensuring high standards of care.

Salary : $32 - $34
