Job Title: Fiscal Assistant (Temporary – Full Time)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: Approximately 3 months
Compensation: $45,000 – $50,000 per year
Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Fiscal Assistant to join our finance team on a temporary full-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide essential support with daily accounting operations and assist in preparing for the year-end audit. This role is a great opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of grant billing and payroll schedules for the year-end audit
- Support accounts receivable processes, including grant billing and recording of receipts
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Review accounting entries completed by outsourced staff and perform data entry as needed
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and various financial reports
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
