Job Title: Group Leader (After-School Program)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18–19 per hour

Position Summary
Community Counseling & Mediation (CCM) is seeking dedicated and dependable Group Leaders/Instructors to support our after-school program for elementary-aged students. This role focuses on leading structured group activities, supporting student engagement, and creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for scholars.
Group Leaders will facilitate organized recreation and movement-based activities, assist with academic support, and work collaboratively with program staff to provide meaningful after-school experiences. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, can manage groups effectively, and supports student development through positive interactions and consistent routines.
This position primarily serves students in grades 1–5, and prior experience working with this age group is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead age-appropriate group activities that promote participation, cooperation, and engagement.
- Supervise students during all program activities to ensure safety and well-being.
- Provide homework help and academic support as needed.
- Encourage positive behavior and apply appropriate behavior management strategies.
- Support structured indoor and outdoor activities, including light physical recreation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily program operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years working in an after-school or youth program (required).
- Lesson Planning Experience: Required.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Availability: Monday–Friday, hours 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Background in education, childcare, youth development, or recreational programming.
- Understanding of elementary-age student development.
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging, and well-structured activities.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience facilitating group activities such as games, movement, or cooperative play.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
