THE POSITION

Are you ready to launch a new career? The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product and Supply Analyst Trainee with a strong interest in inventory control, supply planning, and operational efficiency to participate in its Management Trainee Program.

As a participant in the Management Trainee Program, you will be joined by other trainees in a year-long program which includes group and on-the-job training, workshops, and project teams that will provide insight into the different business areas within the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides hands-on training in inventory management processes through several rotational assignments. It helps build skills in forecasting, acquisition, distribution, and product tracking. As a Product and Supply Analyst Trainee, you will perform the following duties:

  • Rotational Training: Learn procedures and complete assignments in multiple work settings
  • Forecast Review: Analyze forecasting statistics and help correct identified errors
  • Product Movement: Plan how merchandise moves from suppliers to distribution centers
  • Inventory Tracking: Track products and apply replenishment strategies to support supply needs
  • Schedule Support: Assist with managing delivery schedules and allocation details
  • Professional Development: Collaborate with experienced staff to build skills needed for advancement

Upon successful completion of the Management Trainee Program, you will be promoted to a permanent Product and Supply Analyst.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to four days a week, with a minimum of one day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
