Colonial Life is seeking an entrepreneurial, high-performance Sales Agency Owner to lead and grow the Chicagoland market. What You'll Do
Lead & Develop People
- Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing sales representatives and sales leaders.
- Create a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular coaching, field training, and performance development sessions.
- Mentor future leaders and build a sustainable leadership pipeline.
- Drive engagement, retention, and professional development across the organization.
Drive Sales Growth
- Lead market expansion efforts throughout the Indianapolis area.
- Develop and execute sales strategies that consistently exceed production goals.
- Maintain a strong personal presence in the field alongside your team.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement action plans to maximize results.
- Foster a high-energy, results-oriented sales culture.
Grow Broker & Direct Sales Channels
- Establish and strengthen relationships with brokers, consultants, and strategic partners.
- Drive new business through both direct employer sales and broker-driven opportunities.
- Collaborate with brokers to identify opportunities and deliver customized solutions.
- Support sales teams in navigating complex opportunities and large-case strategies.
Business Leadership
- Operate the agency with an ownership mindset.
- Develop market growth plans and execute against long-term objectives.
- Manage profitability, forecasting, recruiting activity, and business development efforts.
- Represent Colonial Life throughout the local business community.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of successful B2B sales experience.
- 3 years of sales leadership, coaching, or management experience.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and leading sales professionals.
- Experience building strategic business relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead through influence, accountability, and vision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Benefits, insurance, payroll, PEO, HR technology, or financial services experience.
- Broker relationship management experience.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
- Track record of building and scaling a sales organization.
