What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sand Blaster/ Shop Hand position at Colombo Sales & Engineering?
**Overview:**
We are seeking a candidate for commercial sandblasting/ and general shop help to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sandblasting various parts with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Monday - Friday 8hr shifts 8am- 4:30pm, 16-40hrs.
**Duties:**
- Sand blast parts using a commercial sandblaster
-Follow all safety and PPE procedures
- Fill sand blast pot
- Keep a cleaned and tidy work area
- Ensuring parts are taped off correctly prior to blasting
- Cleaning parts prior to moving to powder booth
- Help package and wrap parts when needed
**Qualifications:**
-Able to commute to work on time with a positive attitude
-Work efficiently un supervised
-Knowledge of work place safety
