Medical Technician - Baton Rouge

About the role

The American Institute of Balance (AIB) is hiring a Medical Technician / OtoTech to support balance diagnostic testing inside partner ENT and Neurology clinics in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is a hands-on, entry-level clinical role for someone who is reliable, kind, and comfortable working in a routine-driven patient care environment.

AIB is a long-standing leader in diagnosing and treating dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders, and this role is central to the patient experience.

What you’ll do

• Perform AIB balance testing inside ENT and Neurology partner clinics

• Deliver excellent patient and client service throughout each visit

• Maintain strong attendance, punctuality, and professionalism

• Follow routines, protocols, and clinical procedures consistently

• Communicate clearly with patients and team members

• Handle interpersonal situations with professionalism and emotional intelligence

• Support a positive clinic experience through kindness, empathy, and resourcefulness

What we’re looking for

• 1 year of patient care / clinical experience required

• Associate degree preferred

• Backgrounds such as EMT, Emergency Responder, Military medical, CNS, LPN, CMA, or similar preferred

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

• Comfortable using computers and learning new technology

• Strong customer service mindset with a patient-first approach

• Reliable, routine-driven, and professionally composed

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs

• Driver’s license required

• Background check required

• Meet or exceed attendance, patient volume, and customer satisfaction goals

• Maintain consistency in following protocols and supporting clinic operations

• Contribute to a positive, organized, and patient-centered clinic environment

• Demonstrate long-term commitment and stability in the role
