Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload shipments using various materials handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Operate RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements and update warehouse records
- Assist with order picking activities to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Conduct manual handling of goods, including heavy lifting and stacking, following proper safety protocols
- Ensure proper shipping and receiving procedures are followed in compliance with OSHA standards
- Maintain organized storage areas, including palletizing and stacking goods for optimal space utilization
- Support inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies promptly
Experience
- Previous warehouse distribution or logistics experience preferred, with familiarity in warehouse operations and materials handling
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or material handling equipment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and RF scanners is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
- Strong manual handling skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving or order picker roles will be advantageous
