Job Qualifications:
- Current, valid State of Arizona RN license required
- Current CPR/BLS required; PALS required; CPI (or equivalent pediatric crisis intervention) within 90 days; ACLS preferred
- Minimum two (2) years pediatric psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience, including charge experience
- At least two (2) years in an inpatient pediatric psych or child/adolescent behavioral health specialty, or one (1) year of management/charge experience in mental health
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; MSN or leadership certification a plus
- Demonstrated competency in trauma-informed, suicide risk, and de-escalation practices for children/adolescents
- Strong family engagement, communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to assess and meet age- and development-specific needs from early childhood through adolescence
- Consistent alignment with unit, program, department, and facility goals and quality metrics
- A Level One Fingerprint Card is required
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate pediatric psych nursing staff; foster a safe, therapeutic, and developmentally appropriate milieu
- Oversee daily operations, staffing, and scheduling to meet pediatric census and acuity needs
- Ensure safe, effective nursing care, including medication administration, monitoring, and documentation tailored to pediatric populations
- Lead interdisciplinary care planning, family education, safety planning, and discharge coordination
- Monitor compliance with policies, regulatory standards, and pediatric behavioral health best practices
- Coordinate staff onboarding, competency validation (including PALS and CPI), and ongoing education in pediatric psych care
- Rapidly respond to crises, codes, and behavioral escalations; lead de-escalation and post-event debriefs
- Maintain accurate, timely records; track outcomes, incidents, restraints/seclusions, and quality indicators
- Collaborate with psychiatry, psychology, social work, OT, education services, and community partners to optimize pediatric outcomes
- Promote a culture of safety, equity, and family-centered care; ensure staff maintain required licenses, certifications, and trainings
Salary : $108,160 - $124,800
