Job Summary
The HVAC System Technician assists in performing duties necessary to keep the Physical Plant of the Medical Center in reliable operation and good repair. This role involves performing carpentry-related functions related to the maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction of Medical Center facilities. The technician works with wood, metal, or synthetic materials to construct, repair, modify, rebuild, or install typical building systems and components—including, but not limited to, wall systems, ceiling systems, floors, doors, frames, shelving, cabinet systems, ceiling (IV and curtain) tracks, patient area wall hardware, locks, door hardware, and other required equipment and hardware. Work is performed from work order requests, verbal instructions, detailed specifications, diagrams, sketches, or plans.

Job Qualifications:
- Maintenance work in a hospital setting is preferred
- A Level One Fingerprint Card is required
- AZ Driver’s License required
- Five years of experience as an Industrial HVAC Mechanic.
- EPA License required
- Maintains appropriate work records for compliance
- Familiarity with various electrical plant systems in Medical Center facilities
- Understanding of methods and techniques necessary for the safe, sanitary, dependable, and economic operation of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, medical gas, and mechanical plant systems
- Ensure compliance with Facilities/Plant Operations by maintaining safety data sheets for chemicals stored in Plant Operations areas
- Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies; order supplies and maintain inventory
- Receive, supply, and issue a wide variety of tools, equipment, and supplies according to established Facilities Engineering and Purchasing Department policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic (including analog and digital), pneumatic, and mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform operator and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems, as specified by manufacturers, adjusting PM intervals as dictated by monitored failure rates
- Perform repairs—ranging from simple to complex—on equipment and systems as appropriate
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
