About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Engineer with strong expertise in designing, building, and optimizing cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and leveraging modern cloud services to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud data storage solutions with high availability and performance.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ETL processes, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
- Automate workflows and integrate third-party services using cloud-native tools.
- Monitor performance of cloud data systems (e.g., AWS CloudWatch), troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
- Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.
- Develop APIs and optimize data retrieval methods for enterprise consumption.
- Ensure compliance with data security, encryption, and governance standards.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and engineers to support data modeling, reporting, and analytics.
- Partner with IT and security teams to establish disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Maintain documentation, data flow diagrams, and metadata for lineage and cataloging.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud data engineering to drive innovation.
- Mandatory: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (Kubernetes), Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure.
- Data Storage: Data lakes, data warehouses, cloud storage services (e.g., S3).
- Pipelines: ETL pipeline development & automation (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Programming: Python, Java, Scala.
- Databases & Systems: SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, PostgreSQL.
- Data Security & Governance: Strong understanding of compliance and best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and analyze large datasets for patterns and trends.
