About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead outbound prospecting efforts, consult with prospective customers, and drive adoption of our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) SaaS solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can build strong relationships, grow and manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), and contribute directly to revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound prospecting to target market segments.
- Consult with prospective customers regarding their current contract management process.
- Educate customers on CLM software products and articulate features and benefits.
- Build relationships with decision-makers from targeted companies.
- Solicit and efficiently manage prospects across multiple industries.
- Improve penetration within assigned segments using provided tools.
- Encourage and facilitate adoption of software through professional social media and sales materials.
- Maintain clean data in CRM, including notes and appointments.
- Facilitate appointments with sales representatives for product demos and discovery calls.
- Prospect into multiple organizations via cold-calling, networking, email campaigns, social media, and online research.
- Conduct baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information.
- Develop leads into prospects by understanding challenges and communicating software value.
- Qualify and identify prospect needs and transition qualified leads to Sales Representatives.
- Document sales information in CRM following approved processes.
- Make a specified minimum number of outbound calls and emails daily.
- Meet daily/weekly/monthly goals and established metrics.
- Utilize sales tools provided and deliver activity reports to management.
- Provide superior customer service.
- Build and coach a team of BDRs to develop sales skills, industry knowledge, and execution strategies.
- Track standard measurements: leads generated, meetings scheduled, demos completed, revenue growth, and pipeline development.
- Update leadership on changing trends within the online sales environment.
- Support presentations remotely and in-person; travel may be required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to company policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed and assist with other tasks to achieve company goals.
- Represent company at in-person and virtual events (conferences, trade-shows, etc.) for lead generation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development or sales within SaaS or technology solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage a team and meet individual and team quotas.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools.

Knowledge & Requirements
- A professional with prior experience in vendor management, supplier management, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, legal compliance, contracts analyst, contract manager, or assistant to specified roles is a plus
- Experience in sales helpful
- Knowledge of computers and computer software required
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Willing and able to travel for sales and marketing tasks
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to position solution and products effectively
- Must be able to legally work in the United States
- Bachelor degree from an accredited university in business, supply chain, sales/marketing or a related discipline; alternatively, extensive and relevant business experience/track record will be considered· Provide superior customer service.
Miscellaneous:
Must have excellent English communication skills.
