Why This Role
This is a high-impact opportunity to step into a lead electrical safety role at one of the nation's most critical national security laboratories. As the Electrical Safety Officer at LANL's PF-4 facility, you'll serve as the subject matter expert for electrical safety - directly influencing field operations, compliance, and hazard mitigation across construction and facility teams working on mission-critical plutonium infrastructure.
This role is for someone who is equally comfortable in the field and with the code book - an independent critical thinker who can work without being micromanaged, navigate complex compliance requirements, and thrive as part of a high-performing team.
What You'll Do
You will start on 12-hour day shifts during a training and onboarding period of approximately 6 months. After that, the schedule transitions to a rotating days/nights arrangement. This structure is intentional - the team wants to set you up for success before splitting shifts. Long-term travel support is provided.
