Duties
- Perform comprehensive floor cleaning tasks including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing to restore floors to their optimal condition.
- Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, polishers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
- Handle chemical agents responsibly by mixing, applying, and disposing of floor cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety standards.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment, furniture, and supplies to facilitate thorough cleaning operations.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by performing detailed janitorial duties across multiple surfaces including tile, vinyl, carpeted areas, and more.
- Ensure environmental safety by adhering to proper chemical handling procedures and using environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude throughout your shift.
Skills
- Proven experience in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques within commercial or institutional settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning equipment operation including floor scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, and related tools.
- Expertise in handling floor cleaning chemicals safely while understanding their proper application for different surfaces.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury.
