Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)
Schedule: Rotating 8- and 10-hour shifts starting at 6:00 a.m. or 6:30 a.m.
Position Summary:
The Endoscopy RN provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing GI procedures, including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and related treatments. This role involves pre-procedure assessment, assisting physicians during procedures, monitoring patients under sedation, and providing recovery care and discharge education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and prepare them for endoscopic procedures.
- Assist during colonoscopies and other endoscopic exams.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications per protocol, and ensure patient safety.
- Provide post-procedure recovery, education, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety/infection control standards.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in North Carolina.
- BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain).
- Prior endoscopy, GI, or perioperative experience preferred; however, we are are happy to invest in the right RN who is eager to learn and grow with our team.
