CMK Resources is working with a partner in the manufacturing industry to identify a Director of Information Technology to lead their next phase of digital and systems transformation. This role will serve as a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with executive stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
The Director of IT will own the overall technology strategy, with a strong focus on business applications, web platforms, and digital enablement for sales teams and partner networks. This position also maintains responsibility for core infrastructure, requiring a balanced background across both modern platforms and foundational IT operations.
This is a succession role with a planned transition period to support knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities
Digital and Web Platform Leadership
- Lead strategy and execution for web-based business applications, including portals, distributor systems, and customer-facing tools
- Oversee design, development, integration, and optimization of digital platforms
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals
Sales and Partner Enablement
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to improve field productivity and partner engagement
- Support CRM, ERP, and e-commerce integrations for end-to-end visibility
- Enhance reporting, data accuracy, and self-service capabilities
Business Applications and Integration
- Own lifecycle and strategy for enterprise applications including ERP, CRM, and SaaS platforms
- Lead system integrations to ensure seamless data flow across internal and external systems
- Evaluate and implement new technologies aligned with business objectives
Governance, Security, and Risk Management
- Ensure security, integrity, and availability of systems and data
- Establish IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks
- Oversee access controls, compliance, and business continuity planning
Leadership and Financial Oversight
- Lead and develop a distributed IT team
- Define technology roadmap and performance metrics tied to business outcomes
- Manage IT budget and ensure alignment between cost and innovation
- Provide executive-level updates on initiatives, risks, and ROI
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 8 years of progressive IT leadership experience
- Background supporting sales organizations, partner networks, or customer-facing platforms
Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of web technologies, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based systems
- Experience with ERP and CRM platforms and system integrations
- Exposure to ERP modernization or migration initiatives is a plus
- Experience with data, reporting, and analytics
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Awareness of trends in digital commerce, field sales, and partner ecosystems

Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
