CMK Resources is partnered with a rapidly growing international logistics organization that is building a high-performing operations team in Houston.
We’re looking for a Pricing Specialist to support their complex freight, project cargo, and heavy haul operations. This position will play a key role in developing and executing competitive pricing strategies that support our specialized logistics operations and long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Handle spot requests and RFP/RFQ proposals for air, FCL, and LCL shipments, with emphasis on supporting heavy haul, project logistics, and multi-modal solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies, and overseas agents to negotiate favorable rates and service terms.
- Oversee and continuously improve internal rate sheets, pricing tools, and reference databases to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Negotiate competitive rates while balancing cost, service reliability, and the unique requirements of oversized and project cargo movements.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and project teams to align pricing with service capabilities and financial goals.
- Take ownership of tasks, ensure timely delivery, and support workflow continuity across the team in our fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field (required); an advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CLP, CSCP) is a plus.
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain pricing, ideally with exposure to project cargo, heavy haul, or international freight.

- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics platforms.
- Solid understanding of global logistics processes, cost structures, and supply chain methodologies, particularly in project and heavy cargo movements.
