IT Infrastructure Engineer

CMK Resources is hiring an IT Infrastructure Engineer (Resident) to support a client in the Phoenix metro area. This is a senior-level, technical generalist role focused on supporting network, systems, and data center infrastructure. The position requires individuals who are comfortable working directly with hardware, traveling between locations, and operating in mission-critical, regulated environments.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience across networking, infrastructure, and data center operations, and thrives in environments where reliability, safety, and uptime are critical.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for network, systems, and data center infrastructure across multiple locations
• Troubleshoot and maintain Cisco networking and Palo Alto firewall environments
• Support physical data center operations including racking, cabling, power, and cooling
• Maintain and support VMware-based infrastructure
• Execute patching, upgrades, and system lifecycle activities
• Operate within ITIL-based processes and change management frameworks
• Travel between sites to support ongoing operations and incident response

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking and Palo Alto firewalls
• Proven background supporting data center environments (hardware infrastructure)
• Experience with VMware (vSphere/ESXi) and general infrastructure support
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, patch management, and system lifecycle support
• Experience working across multi-site environments
• Must be local to Phoenix and able to travel between sites regularly
• Must have a clean safety record (work performed in a regulated facility)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Cohesity, Splunk, ManageEngine, or Dell infrastructure
