What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Assistance position at Clipper Petroleum Inc?
Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assisting in warehouse tasks. The Warehouse Assistant will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, Service Team, Project Managers, and Accounting Manager. Emphasis is placed on safety, consistency, teamwork, and positive work attitude. Warehouse Assistant reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Responsible for maintaining warehouse/facilities organization and cleanliness
- Assist with receiving inbound freight/inventory and loading/packaging shipments
- Loading and unloading trailers for job preparation. Staging and labeling material in warehouse.
- Assist in inventory counting as needed
- Forklift operation
Job Specifications
- No degree requirements.
- Any equivalent of training desired, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- 2 years of warehouse experience desired.
- Forklift experience desired. Forklift certification will be required but can be obtained from within the company.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Team player
- Detail oriented to ensure accuracy of work
- Well Organized
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods of time
- Forklift certified
- Self-driven, self-starter that can complete tasks with little supervision
