We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roadside Assistance professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to drivers in need of help on the road, ensuring their safety and satisfaction. You will be responsible for troubleshooting vehicle issues, performing minor repairs, and assisting with vehicle maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient with various tools.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls and provide effective solutions to drivers in distress.
- Utilize your own hand tools and power tools to perform minor repairs such as tire changes, jump-starts, and lockout services.
- Conduct vehicle assessments using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with customers, ensuring a positive experience during stressful situations.
- Document service calls accurately and maintain records of work performed on vehicles.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments, including busy roadways.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Previous experience in roadside assistance or a similar role is a plus but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist customers during emergencies.
