Job Summary
Performs routine and scheduled preventative maintenance of building systems and equipment and assists in routine inspections of general carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems. Preforms general carpentry and basic maintenance tasks. While supporting the safe and efficient operation of facilities. Works individually and collaboratively with other trades staff, outside vendors, and Cleveland State University (CSU) employees. Maintains and communicates accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or state recognized equivalent.
- Experience in general maintenance, carpentry, residential home repair, construction, or related field, may include vocational training.
- Ability to lift and carry fifty (50) pounds. If lifting is over fifty (50) pounds, ability to buddy lift or use of tools to aid in lifting.
- Ability to climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, catwalks, and various arial lifts in excess of twenty-five (25) feet.
- Ability to work second shift, weekends, and on call-hours as required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
