Cleveland Menu is a 3rd generation family-owned business that has been serving the hospitality industry since 1930 and specializes in the design and production of high-quality leather, metal, wood and printed menu covers. The Woodshop Operator is responsible for operating woodworking machinery and performing tasks involved in the production of wood-based menu covers.
Shift Availability:
- 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm
- 2nd Shift: 1:15pm - 9:15pm
Essential Job Duties:
- Operate woodshop machinery to cut and clean wood to design specifications.
- Read work orders and set machines in accordance with job specifications.
- Ensure that machines are in proper working order.
- Ensure that the company’s safety regulations and procedures are followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and specifications.
- Team player with good work ethic and communication skills.
- Familiarity with woodworking machinery and hand tools.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of woodworking experience is preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment and is exposed to fluctuating temperatures in certain areas; noises; working around machinery with moving parts; working in close proximity to others; and exposure to strong odors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift/move/carry up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods of time; use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; stoop/kneel/bend/crouch to reach material; and operate machinery and/or power tools.
