Proposal & Marketing Manager

Clayton Services is seeking an experienced Proposal & Marketing Manager to join a growing engineering firm to lead the development of proposals and marketing initiatives that support continued business growth. This individual will oversee the proposal process from opportunity identification through submission while maintaining marketing materials, qualifications packages, and company branding.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $90,000 - $115,000

Proposal & Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead the proposal process from initial opportunity tracking through final submission.
• Manage proposal schedules, deadlines, compliance requirements, and internal deliverables.
• Coordinate proposal kickoff meetings and collaborate with technical staff to gather project information and supporting documentation.
• Prepare, edit, and format proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
• Review proposal content for accuracy, consistency, quality, and compliance with client requirements.
• Maintain proposal templates, standard content, resumes, project profiles, and marketing collateral.
• Develop and update project experience summaries, capability statements, and qualifications packages.
• Organize and maintain marketing assets, project photography, graphics, and document libraries.
• Assist with business development efforts by preparing client-specific marketing materials and pursuit packages.
• Support leadership with Go/No-Go meetings, pursuit tracking, and proposal strategy.
• Coordinate with outside vendors on website updates, graphic design, printing, and other marketing initiatives.
• Track proposal outcomes and identify opportunities to improve future proposal and marketing processes.
• Promote consistent branding and messaging across all external communications.

Proposal & Marketing Manager Skills and Abilities:

• Strong proposal management and technical writing abilities.
• Excellent editing, proofreading, and document formatting skills.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and executive leadership.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, professional deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, or proposal management software is preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proposal & Marketing Manager Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or a related field preferred.
• Five or more years of proposal management, marketing, or business development experience, preferably within engineering, architecture, construction, or another professional services environment.
• Experience managing complex proposals from planning through submission.
• Familiarity with qualifications packages, proposal development, and business development support.
• Experience maintaining marketing materials, project profiles, and company branding is highly preferred.
